Location is ideal for visiting Rome (10 mins. by train). Free shuttle provided by owner to/from railway station or airport. Room very quiet and clean, luxuriously furnished, airco, minibar, small bathroom but with convenient layout. Owner very helpful and friendly, makes you feel ‘at home’ and welcomed. Continental breakfast, more than OK ! Highly recommended if you do not want to stay overnight in the center of Rome.
- “Owner makes you feel ‘at home’ “
Elisabetta, the owner, is lavished with attention and helpful tips. We decided to get to the underground by car (few minutes), but she would drive us there. We could also get to city center by bus with the close bus stop. Narrow private car park but well organised by her. We never heard about Villa Quintili archeologic site, about only 1 km far, so we were convinced at last by Elisabetta to go there: everybody should go there, nevertheless there were just us in August 11th, on Saturday! That was fantastic. Extremely tidy and well exposed escavation and museum, surrounded by roman countryside. You can get from Villa Quintili site to the ancient Via Appia by walking or cycling: the Villa’s estate is actually on Via Appia. Very clean, quiet and tidy rooms. Next time we will go to Rome, we will stay in Villa Quintili B&B again.
- “Attention and helpful tips”
Quintili is a lovely B&B in a quiet residential area in Rome. It is situated away from the city centre, however there are good bus, metro and train links into the city centre. The owner was very friendly, kind and helpful. She spent a lot of time pointing out the areas of interest in Rome, prepared breakfast for us each morning and also gave us a lift to the nearby train station each day (she even bought train tickets for us in advance to save any hassle), I can’t praise her highly enough. The B&B itself is decorated to an immaculate standard, it was really a pleasure to stay in our room.
The hotel is not in the city centre, so you need to be aware that travelling is required to get to the sightseeing areas, but if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome in the evening, then Quintili is a nice quiet destination to do just that.
